Studying Photography will help you to develop your creative photography skills and enhance your visual understanding and appreciation of Art & Design. A level Photography will enable you to follow a career path into an Art, Design, and Photography based environment, go onto further education to follow a further in-depth study of photography or courses in Media studies, Advertising, Publishing, Photo-journalism or any Art discipline. Studying A level Photography involves: Learning how to use a camera Experimenting with a range of photographic processes and techniques, e.g. montage, digital techniques, manipulation and printing, an appreciation of viewpoint, composition, depth of field, practical understanding of portraiture, street Photography, still life, experimental or Abstract Photography and understanding of the exposure triangle. Developing Creative/aesthetic interpretation of themes in Fine Art/Photography Presenting your work effectively to communicate your ideas, recording the development of your ideas, analysis of your own and others' work in a sketchbook, developing an understanding of techniques related to the printing of photographic images, presentation, layout and mounting.
